The issue of lifetime alimony is slowing becoming the final "link" in the Triforce of Conservatism on the D&D show. Though Jeff and Bill are usually pretty politically centrist, even liberal on some issues (gay marriage, medical marijuana, the auto bailout, etc), it seemes like illegal immigration, teacher tenure (also discussed today), and alimony are going to be brought up on "Deminski & Doyle 3.0" over and over again, especially with the anti-alimony laws that are coming up in Jersey. While on its face, it may seems like an equal rights argument -- Jeff mentioned over and over about how he thinks alimony laws treat women as second-class citizens or whatever phrase he used -- much like affirmative action, they wouldn't be necessary if there truly was a level playing field for women today. As we noted before, while they were in Michigan, political segments were rarer than an hour without a "gay Rudy" joke, D&D seem to be rekindling their niche for controversial topics that they had before at NJ1015 in the 90's. Not that it's a bad thing -- heated arguments are entertaining, as long as they're not always on the same side of the fence on every topic and as long as they don't cut people's mics like O'Rielly or sling insults like Limbaugh or Beck.

Other topics from today's show included a look at Toygaroo.com, a Netflix-for-toys company, another discussion on outdated technology, and a second look at the debate over the lack of African-American state troopers in Jersey.
