D&D - WKRK - Aug 24, 2005

I didn't listen to "Live 97.1" for too many years during its hayday (Howard-MCM-D&D-P&tM) and I didn't really know the history of the relationship between shows, so I can't tell if the Motor City Middays slam that started this show was all in fun or not. I do know there was a bit of animosity between Gregg Henson and D&D recently. Topics covered during this late-summer show included a Deminski rant against his health insurance company, a little prick for Beaver (get your mind outta the gutter!), tensions at Ozzfest, a SPIN magazine list of "best rock star body parts," a Daily Show clip about Pat Robertson (trivia: apparently D&D interviewed a pre-Daily Show Jon Stewart back when they were on NJ 101.5), an update on Rudy's girlfriend, and chat with Jay the Cable Guy on his upcoming American Idol audition (they also played a funny Afroman parody song Jay and Beaver recorded back in the day for Jeff's brother). Call-in segments ranged from doing drugs with your parents to male waxing -- which included the BEST CALLER EVER!

Here's the show:

What's the story on the animosity between that douchebag Henson and D&D? Did they find a hair in the Jamba Juice they sold him or something??

There's always been an underlying competition it seems...not sure what it stems from...here's a few posts from Jeff from his blog during the 2008 "opt out" year about it:
