Well, crap. There were no problems at all in the first three (nearly hour) hours of the show, but the webstream apparently dropped for nearly an hour, starting at about 5:55pm. The final few minutes of Hour 4 and almost the entirety of Hour 5 (save for the last six minutes after the final commercial break, which was appended to the Hour 4 file) were lost on all sources. And since NJ-101.5 only reairs the 3:00 and 4:00 hours overnight, there was no chance to rerecord it. Sorry folks. :(

Here's what we need to prevent this in the future -- even though we cater more towards Michigan (and other out-of-state) listeners, I know from the download stats that there are at least a few people from Jersey who frequent this blog. If anyone who is within the WKXW listening area would care to serve as a backup (analog) recording source, it would be much appreciated. All you need is some kind of FM radio card (such as this one I found on Amazon.com) for your computer. If you're interested, please e-mail me at deminskidoylefan@lycos.com and I can provide some information about audio recording software.

Topics from today included a split 2:00 hour that included a look at Old Man Deminski's progressive lenses and a poll of stupid handicaps, a listener survey about where you'd go if you won the lottery, a discussion about stressful jobs, a list of "New Jersey Temptations" for newly-acquired New Jersey Jet, Tim Tebow, and a debate over a Brookdale Community College who was charged with stealing a cup of ice (the only audio we were able to recover from this segment was an interview with his mother).
