D&D - Nov 25, 2009

We had an interview, a few news items, and a Password game (bisected by the 8:30 sports report) that didn't make it onto the website today. Wayne County Prosecuter Kym Worthy dialed in to chat about her opposition to violent video games (props to her for coming on the air with two guys who she knew disagreed with her) and Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel is calling on temporarily-deputized Macombites to NARC on suspected drunk drivers during the biggest bar night of the year tonight. Clips were played from last night's "V" pseduo-finale, Lewis Black's anti-holiday History Channel special, and a stupid PETA ad that caused NBC channel their inner Sarah Palin. There was also a report on the backlash towards Best Buy for their crime of being nice to Muslims. Podcasted topics were, as selected by the non-pardoned sad turkeys at WCSX.com:

1. WE PUT THE "FUN" IN DYSFUNCTIONAL (podcast) - Who has a normal family anyway? D&D are giving away a pair of TSO tickets to the caller with the best story about a dysfunctional family gathering.
2. AGAINST BETTER JUDGEMENT - REALLY AWFUL SONGS BY JEFF'S DAD (podcast) - Apparently there really WAS on listener that wanted to hear Jeff's dad's awful music. We saved it here just for you!
3. JEFF TRIES TO CONVINCE US THAT WE WANT TO HEAR THIS EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T (podcast) - Jeff's dad tried to be a songwriter back in the '70's. Bill says you do NOT want to hear this stuff, Jeff says you do. The callers vote.
4. THE BEST HOLIDAY MOVIES (podcast) - In the spirit of Thanksgiving, listeners called in to vote on their all time favorite holiday movies.
5. IS JEFF UN-AMERICAN? (podcast) - Deminski does NOT like Turkey. He also believes that he is not alone in this. What traditional Thanksgiving foods do you dislike?
