D&D - Dec 22, 2009

Yeah, we left the Christmas songs in. Just trying to provide a counterweight to Doyle's constant Scrooge-ness. Very interesting show today. A few old stories were revisited; Kate Hanni, director of Flyer's Rights was interviewed again, this time about the new anti-stranded-flyer legislation, Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero's possible run for governor inspired a replay of his hilarious FOX News interview from early this year, and Jamie "Too Soon" Samuelsen kept up with the Brittany Murphy jokes. Deminski read aloud the poem he sent out with yesterday's D&D Mail, explained the history of NORAD's Santa Tracker, and the guys took some calls about the sanctity and value of canine life. Other topics included another "_____ of the Decade" list, a mention of an article about the attractiveness of symmetry, and proof that if you try to pick up a married woman at a bar, the screwdriver you end up with might not contain orange juice and vodka. 4. SAM RIDDLE ARRESTED! (podcast) - Sam Riddle was arrested in a domestic assault! What does a shotgun, a compromising position, and karma all have in common? Sam Riddle!
5. SETH GOLD (podcast) - Seth Gold from Detroit's own American Jewelry And Loan, a local pawn shop has filmed a few shows called "Hardcore Pawn." It's all about the pawn shop industry! Seth was on with D&D Tuesday morning...Let's hope the show gets picked up for episodes!
6. SAMUELSEN ON SPORTS (blog) - Philly Fans Strike Again...Eagle fans have been infamous over the years for booing Santa Claus and for cheering Michael Irvin when he lay motionless on the turf at the Vet. So this is pretty tame...but still pretty funny as they pepper 49er fans with snowballs after the big winter storm hit over the weekend. The poor dudes had to be escorted out of the stadium because they had the gall to get pelted by snowballs.
