Awesome subject for the first hour, IMHO. The Time article, "Chore Wars," as pointed out on the D&D website, is a either a realistic look at modern American society and the role of feminism in spinning conventional wisdom when it comes to gender equality or yet another attack on women's rights coming from right-wing extremists who hide behind the cloak of fiscal conservatism in order to rise to power. We report, you decide! :) Rather, you, Jeff, Bill, and all the callers. For a station that (from some reports) has a right-wing bias in the past, D&D have done a good job of stating their opinions on various topics while staying, on average, pretty moderate (see their views on teacher's unions from a couple weeks ago vs. their opinions on homosexuality from earlier this week). I wasn't sure how they would do with more political topics than they covered in Detroit, but it has been pretty entertaining.
Other topics today included crazy babysitter nightmare stories, calls for extending New Jersey bear hunting season, a discussion on when it's okay (if ever) to leave kids alone in the car, as well as a segment on karma. As a wise man once said, "Where I come from we got this thing called karma. You do something bad, it come back and bite you in the ass! Big, white, stubborn ass!"
