Even towards the end, the shows at 97.1 flowed a lot better then anything they ever did at WCSX. Beaver's sports reports only started when the station flipped format in October, 2007 and they were about 1/4 of the length of Jason Carr's or Jamie Samuelsen's (and WXYT was a SPORTS station). The show also usually had that "extra" 4th hour -- except when they went off the air early or started late in the afternoons due to a Tigers game. Topics from this show included interviews with two authors -- David Earthman, who compiled "E-mails From Hell," and Sandy Lions, local author of "Michigan's Most Haunted" -- a discussion about old TV theme songs, and a bunch of call-in segments (a list of suggestions from the guys and callers about euphemisms for being drunk, a classic Jeff vs. caller argument about Kwame, memories about stupid games we played as kids as well as "redneck sports"). It seems like these old WKRK / WXYT shows contain less interviews as well, maybe only 1-2 per show.
