D&D - Mar 23, 2009

Welcome to another week, everyone. As Doyle mentioned a few times, CBS "Heidi'd" the MSU game over the weekend. They won, Michigan lost, and Kansas is still going to repeat. Or so says the guess I pulled out of my ass. Here's more notes from today's show "courtesy" of WCSX.com:

1. WHEN ANIMALS ATTACK (video) - Jeff made Karen Savelly watch this video of when “Animals Attack” (we were talking about the raging Wild Turkeys in Jackson)
2. SEXOMNIA? REALLY? (article) - She wakes up in the middle of the night and...well...you know. Have you ever heard of "sexomnia" - click here to check out her story

3. ASSEMBLY LINE CONCERT (link / video stream) - "The Assembly Line Concert," a 10-day continuous musical tribute to the auto industry is going on now at AJ’s Music Cafe on 9 mile in Ferndale — where they’re attempting to break the Guinness record for "longest concert by multiple artists." CafĂ© owner A.J. O’Neil organized the show, which is to run through March 30, to pay tribute to American workers, products and automobiles at a time when the industry faces immense peril. [Click here to check out the website and watch live.]
4. MARCH BANDNESS - VOTE FOR STONES VS BROWNE (link) - March Bandness has begun! For the nine A.M. hour it’s Rolling Stones vs Jackson Browne - workforce members log in to cast your vote - click here and register at the top of the page
5. ASSEMBLY LINE CONCERT (podcast) - AJ's Cafe in Ferndale is planning to break the Guinness record for "longest concert by multiple artist" as it hosts a 10 day continuous musical tribute to the American auto industry. The Assembly Line Concert will feature at least 240 acts, performing 240 hours nonstop! We sent Rudy over there this morning to scope it out! AJ’s Cafe is located at 240 Nine Mile Road in Ferndale! 6. ROCK TRIVIA (podcast) - Rolling Stone online had a fun Rock and Roll trivia quiz. The guys tested their knowledge, and now you too can test your rock IQ.
7. MONICA CONYERS: STILL DELUSIONAL (podcast) - According to Detroit City Council woman, Monica Conyers - it is not possible for a black person to be a racist. Wait...what? Really? You have to hear what she says in order to believe it.
8. ALTERNATE MOVIE ENDINGS (podcast) - Jim and Rudy say that sometimes when they watch movies that they have already seen - they still think there is a possibility that the ending will be different. If you think that makes no sense, don’t worry - you're not alone.
9. RUDY GOES TO FLORIDA (podcast) - This past weekend, Rudy went to Florida. It wouldn’t be the D&D show if he didn't have a story about some rotten little kid on the airplane. Jeff also analyzes the pattern and severity of Rudy's sun burn.
