D&D - Mar 27, 2009

Happy Friday everyone. Glad I have a slow day today -- I got a hold of a few different sources for today's show and they all seem to have audio issues, mainly dropouts at almost the same spot. There must have been an issue with the WCSX stream. I'll get links up here as we go along, and I'll try to splice together what I can, but it'll be a slower process than normal. First hour is almost finished. Today's show is up, pretty sure it's all fixed, let me know if there are any messed up parts. Here's a bit of what it featured, courtesy of WCSX.com:

1. ASSEMBLY LINE CONCERT (link) - "The Assembly Line Concert," a 10-day continuous musical tribute to the auto industry is going on now at AJ’s Music Cafe on 9 mile in Ferndale — where they’re attempting to break the Guinness record for "longest concert by multiple artists." CafĂ© owner A.J. O’Neil organized the show, which is to run through March 30, to pay tribute to American workers, products and automobiles at a time when the industry faces immense peril. 2. DEAD AT YOUR AGE (link) - Check out this cool website dead.atyourage.com...It tells you what famous people you have outlived...Keith Richards unable to be reached for comment...
3. RUDY AND LEAH THE INTERN (podcast) - WCSX has a new intern named Leah. Rudy thought she was cute UNTIL he heard that her name was Leah. You see, Rudy has a young neice named Leah and because of that, he would feel creepy dating a girl with that same name. Never mind the fact that he has no idea whether or not Leah the intern is interested in him...Yeah, THAT’S not creepy.
4. CHRIS CHELIOS (podcast) - Chris Chelios called in to give his weekly Red Wings update...he also seems to have insider knowledge about D&D sharing a Mai Tai, and being beaten up by Jiri Hudler.
5. KATHLEEN MADIGAN (podcast) - Comedian Kathleen Madigan was live in studio this morning with D&D. Kathleen has appeared on Last Comic Standing, and is a veteran of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
6. DEAD.ATYOURAGE.COM (podcast) - D&D found a really cool (if you’re into the macabre) website that will give you a list of famous people that you have outlived - or that died at your exact age.
7. JIM GAFFIGAN (link) - Comedian Jim Gaffigan called in to chat for a bit. Anyone want some Hot Pockets?
