D&D - May 1, 2009

Four months into the "new" D&D Show (though "The First 86 Days" doesn't have quite the ring as "The First 100 Days"), what's the verdict? Seems like it's going good to me, but I am not one of TPTB. The guys should do another (longer) "State of the Show" segment. And give out more bonus points. Guess they could afford to do more giveaways and listener events now that the Friday Game appears to be dead. The fact that Jeff's blog was wiped clean probably isn't a good sign from The Man, though. Oh, and in case you were wondering what Alex Rodriguez's new FCC-unfriendly nickname is, click here. We want to let the people in Washington D.C. know that when they talk about making decisions regarding the auto industry...it's more than just numbers...it's REAL PEOPLE who are going to be impacted by these decisions. We're going to put together a banner with pictures of all the men, women and children who are impacted by the auto industry (workers, suppliers, retirees, restaurants, etc.) and then we'll unveil it to the Administration.

3. DUCK HUNT WITH RUDY (pics) - Thanks to the Red Wings for providing us tickets for game one AND two of the Anaheim/Wings series... [webcam screencaps can be found here]
4. CHRIS CHELIOS (podcast) - As we head into Game 1 of Round 2 in the Red Wings Playoffs - Chris Chelios called in for his weekly Red Wings hockey update. Throw away those razors and start growing the beards!
5. DUCK HUNT! (podcast) - A few lucky listeners got the chance to compete for Red Wings playoff tickets, in studio this morning. The game? They had to shoot a duck (Get it? The Anaheim Ducks?) off of Rudy’s head, with a nerf dart gun.
6. THE CHRYSLER BANKRUPTCY (podcast) - After talking to Rod Meloni, D&D had the listeners call in to give their take on the Chrysler bankruptcy and give us a glimpse of what exactly this will mean for them and their families.
7. ROD MELONI (podcast) - Rod Meloni, Channel 4's business editor, called in to discus Chrysler's bankruptcy. Rod put everything laymen’s terms for all of us to understand what this Bankruptcy means for Chrysler.
