D&D - May 13, 2009

Deminski and Doyle (and, depending on the budget I'm sure, possibly Jim, Jason, Rudy, and/or Nicole) are on their way to D.C. for their live show and Faces Not Number banner unveiling tomorrow. In the shadow of possible bankruptcy for GM and Chrysler, here's hoping the Obama administration takes notice that there are actually faces that correspond to the hundreds of thousands of jobs lost in this country every month. Michigan leads or is in the "top" ten of the rankings when it comes to foreclosures and unemployment. There has to be a better route towards profitability than slashing jobs and closing dealerships. Why do companies, some that are 100 years old or more, set themselves up for failure if they have a bad year or three? Then again, I'm wasn't a business major, so I'm probably just talking out of my ass. Hopefully the economy turns around soon. Then again, here's a graph showing the ratio of job seekers to job openings:

3. ROD ALLEN (podcast) - Rod Allen called in to chat with D&D about Dontrelle Willis returning to pitch with the Tigers in tonight's game against theTwins. Willis was sidelined with an anxiety condition.
4. PICK YOUR CONCERT THREESOME (podcast) - Styx, REO Speedwagon, and .38 are doing a special tour together. If you could make your own "UltimateConcert Threesome," which bands would you include?
5. JUDGE HANDS OUT ODD SENTENCES (podcast) - A Michigan judge is sentencing deadbeat dads to watch episodes of Maury Povich. D&D want to know - whatother TV shows would suck if you were forced to watch them?
6. JOHN LENNON EXHIBIT (podcast) - A John Lennon museum exhibit is going to include a blood soaked bag that held Lennon's clothing when he was shot.D&D ask - as a fan, is this something you would want to see?
7. LEE THOMAS (podcast) - Lee Thomas - Fox 2's resident American Idol correspondant, called in to chat with D&D about the contestants classic rockperformances. D&D hated the classic rock on American Idol...Lee liked it. Things got a little tense.
