D&D - June 29, 2009

We've been having a lot of P.S.'s on here lately. Lotta breaking news happening just after 9am. Farah, MJ, Monica. Now Bernie Madoff -- 150 years! D&D spent a lot of time playing catch-up on the three-day old Monica Conyers news (see below) as well jumping on the Michael Jackson bandwagon by covering the 911 call and adding local spin to the story by getting quotes from folks at the Detroit vigil. Props to Deminski for being one of the only people who isn't afraid to cover up the crap that MJ did now that he's dead. Infamous infomercial icon Billy Mays also dropped dead over the weekend as did comedian / impersonator Fred Travalena. D&D spoke with a giddy Deathpool Dave -- 102 points in three days! To continue the macabre topics, D&D picked up the story in the Free Press about AshleyMadison, the dating site for married folks -- no commercials on WCSX yet, so far as I've heard. TOM JOHNSTON - DOOBIE BROTHERS FOUNDING MEMBER (Wikipedia) - D&D followed their new formula of a classic rock interview followed by a song -- the first of two songs played during the 8am hour following "Another One Bites the Dust" from 7:05. I thought WCSX cut out the 9am hour because there wasn't enough music being played?
