D&D are back this week (as are, ironically, Drew & Mike) and they have a new intro/theme song featuring some classic Detroit-related news and song clips. Hopefully they'll throw some drops on there like they used to do on WKRK. Seems like there's a LOT more music on D&D now -- even on days without "rock star" or Gary Graff interviews or contests. WRIF doesn't have music on it's morning show, not sure why D&D are being forced to be "damn DJ's" -- something Jeff said once his would never do. We'll just have to see what the future holds...maybe Gregg "Douchebag" Henson was right back in May? Anyway...segments from today included a discussion about Rudy's new free house, Jeff's experience at a dry black wedding, another round of Always a Tiger, and interviews with local hero Dave Proudfoot and Tom Wilson from PalaceNet. Jeff will hopefully report tomorrow on his audiology appointment (didn't he do this one the air once?) later today. Other topics were, courtesy of WCSX.com:

3. THE AMTRAK STORY (podcast) - An Amtrak passenger train carrying about 170 people struck a car that had skirted a gate at a road crossing in Canton on Thursday, killing all five people in the sedan. Who in their right mind would try and outrun a train? We can think of at least two...Doyle and Rudy...
4. SCOTT TAYLOR: FIVE DAYS IN HELL (podcast) - Scott Taylor is a journalist who was captured in Iraq...He was beaten and tortured for five days...He courageous story will air Wednesday night on The National Geographic Channel at 10pm.
5. BROCK LESNAR (podcast) - UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar defended his title Saturday night...Still thinking he was part of the WWE, Lesnar went on a psychotic rant after defeating Frank Mir...Lesnar later apologized due to the strong arm of UFC President Dana White! Also Monica Conyers was caught yelling at Scott Lewis!
