D&D - July 24, 2009

Holy crap! They played a Friday Game! Well...sorta...it wasn't officially called that and it only took up about half of the 6pm 9am 8am hour (the Jeff Daniels interview closed out the show), but "Will the Drunk Know It?" game was played during the final hour of the show on a Friday and it was fairly long. Viva La D&D Revolucion? Seemed like the guys took it somewhat easy today -- not a bad plan for a Friday. The aforementioned game was long enough to span a commercial break, the Jeff Daniels and Brandon Inge interviews were both pretty lengthy, and they spent quite a bit of time ogling over talking with Crystal Renee. The only segments that didn't make it onto an official podcast or link on the D&D Website were a brief mention of the 100 dogs rescued from an abandoned Dearborn house, another round of Play the Numbers, and a couple sports stories -- Mark Buehrle's perfect game and a video of a UFC Knock-the-fuck-Out that had Jim O'Brien all a-twitter. 1. PICS OF CRYSTAL RENEE (pics) - Maxim Hometown Hottie Crystal Renee was in studio this morning! Let the pictures do the talking!
2. UNITED BREAKS GUITARS (video) - In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didn't deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say "no" to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. 3. WILL THE DRUNK KNOW IT? (podcast) - Here's a fun new game: Send an intern to a bar to quiz (and record) drunk people. Then take calls from listeners betting on whether or not the drunk will know the answer!
4. ATTACK OF THE BALD FACED HORNETS (podcast) - Jeff Deminski has a huge problem. Bald Faced Hornets (which are particularly aggressive) have invaded his home!
5. CRYSTAL RENEE (podcast) - Crystal Renee, of Ypsilanti, is one of Maxim’s Hometown Hotties finalists! She joined D&D in studio this morning. Make sure you vote for her!
6. JEFF DANIELS (podcast) - Jeff Daniels called in to talk to the guys about - pretty much all things Michigan! Jeff also talks about his upcoming performance at the Purple Rose Theater.
7. BRANDON INGE (podcast) - Brandon Inge, of the Detroit Tigers called in to chat with D&D about his knee injury, and what it's like being an All-Star for the first time!
