D&D - Oct 27, 2009

I wonder if D&D took some LSD before constructing today's show, as the topics from this morning were all over the board. The first hour started with part of a tape-delayed, train-wreck interview from yesterday segueing into a discussion about fad diets, then a long segment about perverts (with obligatory Chris Hanson clips), and ending with several cuts from the new Bob Dylan Christmas album. We had a call-in segment about fantasy TV show remakes mid-show and another about how to get lost on the Internet towards the end of the show (inspired by these guys). Bruce Springsteen made an appearance (not really); the Classic Rock Song of the Day giveaway is for Bruce tickets, his upcoming concert at the Palace was promoted, and the guys mentioned his recent concert cancellation due to a death in his family / touring company. 1. U2 ON YOUTUBE - LIVE FROM THE ROSE BOWL (video) - The world's greatest band on the world's largest stage - U2 on YouTube. Watch the rebroadcast of the full live streaming performance from the Rose Bowl. Recorded on Sunday, October 25th.
2. NEW RESEARCH ON LSD (podcast) - National Geographic is showing a special featuring researchers that are studying LSD - by actually taking the drug! D&D took calls from listeners that have tried LSD - to see what they thought of "tripping."
3. BAD HAIRCUTS (podcast) - Ever get a really bad haircut as a kid? Maybe on purpose, or maybe it was an accident. How about the dreaded "Bowl Cut?" Rudy shares his own hair-horror as well.
4. TRAVELING TO SEE CONCERTS, AND BOB DYLAN DOES CHRISTMAS? (podcast) - What is the farthest you have traveled to see a concert? Then, D&D preview some music off of Bob Dylan's new Christmas album.
5. GREAT VIDEO OF TWO TRACK ATHLETES COLLIDING (video) - If you're like [Jamie], and you really appreciate good physical comedy - then you'll really appreciate this video courtesy of SportsbyBrooks. The video apparently comes from 2001, but it doesn't matter. Indoor meet. Long distance female runner. Crossing in front of a male long jumper taking off down the runway. Phenomenal. (Make sure the take note of the guy sitting at the start of the runway who can see the whole thing coming from a mile away).
6. D-list Week 10.26.09 (video) - Weekly D&D update video (funny Internet laws).
