D&D - Oct 7, 2009

Tiger-centric (ed: I agree with WoJo here) show today, obviously, and a sad one at that. Rudy is never going to another Tigers' game -- he put his PS3 where his mouth is, saying he'd give it away on the show if he broke his oath in 2010. The guys also did "Pick a Theme Song For Migeul Cabrera" game to vent some frustration. IMHO, he's just a straw man, Tigers need another big bat next year and smarter acquisitions *coughHuff&Williscough* -- but the list of the easiest booze to make at home was an interesting tangent. Leyland's tension-filled presser from yesterday morning was also discussed. Hey, would you look at this? When Jamie Samuelsen joined D&D on Sept. 14, the Tigers were 5 1/2 games up on Minnesota. Did he have anything to do with the collapse? I'm not saying he did, but one could wonder...hey, yeah, I am trying out for an anchor job at Fox News, how did you guess? Anyway, web-worthy topics were, as chosen by the Rob-Parker-and-Jamie-Samuelsen-hunting-permit-seekers at WCSX.com:

5. BEN FROM SURVIVOR (podcast) - Ben, cast off from Survivor, called in this morning. Ben made some comments that many believe to be racist against Yasmin, another Survivor contestant.
6. ROD ALLEN (podcast) - The grief from last nights loss to the Twins is almost unbearable. Rod Allen called in to give us his last Tigers report...until next season.
7. STEWART COPELAND (podcast) - D&D talked to Stewart Copeland, drummer of The Police, about his new book Strange Things Happen, A life with The Police, Polo, and Pymies.
