D&D - Oct 6, 2009

It's Opposite Day! Or maybe WCSX folk read this blog (I doubt it, as I haven't gotten any C&D Letters yet). Nearly the entire 6am hour (with the exception of an update to the Who-the-Hell-Would-Have-Sex-With-David-Letterman sex scandal) was podcasted while the majority of the 8am hour was not. Topics crammed into the final hour of the show today ranged from When Animals Attack stories about a pack of rabid raccoons and a deadly pet bear to TV clips (Donnie went gay on DWtS and Jon Stewart bashed the anti-Americanism of the Right). There was also a weird story about a clash between Dr. Dre fans and Beatles fans as well as a couple call-in segments about baseball superstitions (see here, here, and here) and a "battle" of the bands. A lot of time was spent on tonight's Tigers game -- Deminski may forgo Obama's footsteps and blow off a parent-teacher conference in lieu of watching the game. 1. DOYLE'S GIFT / PICTURES AT FUNERALS (podcast) - To start Tuesday morning Bill Doyle was given a book on cannibalism...For those of you who don't know he is fascinated by this! Also, just as creepy we got an email from a listener about taking pictures of corpses at funerals...Who does this?
2. MIGUEL CABRERA (podcast) - Miguel Cabrera has been the talk of the town for the last 2 days...His blood alcohol was a .26 the night of "the disturbance." Hear the 911 call made by his wife, and a statement made by the Birmingham Police Chief.
3. JAIME MOLISEE (podcast) - You probably are asking who is Jaime Molisee...Jamie is a very cool woman with a rather strange problem...She hasn't stopped hiccup-ping for 4 years! Folks, you can't make this stuff up!
4. ROB PARKER (podcast) - Columnist Rob Parker was on with D&D Tuesday morning to discuss his opening day prediction, the "do or die" situation tonight in Minnesota, and why he hates the Tigers.
