D&D - Aug 28, 2009

Rudy needs to turn in his man-card -- normally you don't have to eat boiled duck fetus (or other nasty crap) to retain it, but when you get pwned by a chick? That's a violation. It's a suspension at the very minimum. Maybe next the guys should get some of the cats from that house in Dearborn and feed them to her next. Chase it down with some Faygo root beer and you're all set. But I bet she won't eat any "cute" animals. Perhaps the Michigan State Fair should sell nasty third-world "delicacies" to stave off its impending demise. Other topics covered today include another "unconscious plagiarism" charge (this time between Weezer and Metallica), a breaking news story about the California kidnap victim, a slam of a Foreigner cover by Mariah Carey (it really is quite awful), a call-in segment about spousal nagging, and a hypothesis about a reason for the decline of hip fractures in Canada. Podcast-worthy topics were, courtesy of WCSX.com:

1. PLAY AIR HOCKEY AGAINST WCSX JOCKS (link) - Just click on the WCSX Jock you'd like to play (beat!) and use your mouse to guide the paddle in a game of intense air hockey! The first to score five goals wins. Keep playing for fun or click on the Register to Win link for your chance to Win free Red Wing Tickets!
2. NICOLE EATS BALUT (pics) - Well, she did it! Nicole took the "balut challenge" and won, with the composure of a champion. Here's to you miss "I'll eat the nastiest thing on the planet."
3. ANDREW ZIMMERN - AND THEN NICOLE EATS BALUT! (podcast) - D&D talk with Andrew Zimmern, from the show Bizarre World on Travel Channel. Then - Nicole EATS BALUT! Her reaction...startling to say the least.
4. ROD ALLEN (podcast) - Fox Sports Detroit's Rod Allen called in with his weekly Tigers report, and talked about the return of Nate Robinson.
5. 93 YEAR OLD KILLS SOMEONE - NO JAIL!? (podcast) - A 93 year old that probably shouldn't have been driving to be gin with, struck and killed someone with her car. And she isn't going to jail! How many people have had a close call with an elderly driver?

The Weezer/Metallica debate is not even an issue. While the intro/verse parts are similar, they're both in different keys and the similarity ends after the first bar. FAIL!
