D&D - Aug 4, 2009

The WCSX webstream must be updating their infomercial database again -- we got another Mirror Day where the over-the-air commercials were played over-the-tubes. We cut out a lot of them (duplicates, evil corporations, etc.), but there are still a tad more ads than normal -- if you don't like it, hit fast-forward, but karma would prefer if you patronized the D&D Show sponsors. On another note, it seems like perhaps TPTB may have listened to the listeners...the last couple shows have seemed "fuller" -- they've had more content, funnier bits, and less music. Keep it up, guys. Topics covered today ranged from the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything in Deminski's dream, Nicole contemplating suicide (but not really), Ryan O'Neal's vomit-inducing creepiness, a discussion about game show hosts, and insta-fail job application requirements. The best part of today's show was, in my opinion, the J. Chris Newburg interview -- not sure why this wasn't made into an official podcast, but it was a very unusual interview (you'll just have to listen for yourself). Craig Simmons from All Species Animal Control, today's Workforce Business of the Day winner, also popped on to manwhore his company. Other segments from this morning were (thanks to WCSX.com):

1. REGIFTING ROBIN (link) - Check out this mind-trip game...Eat your heart out Criss Angel! [hint: z = 10x + y]
2. BLIND JUST-US (podcast) - Jim O'Brien came up with a fun new game. It involves wearing a blindfold and answering really embarassing questions. Fun!!!
3. MOVIE TRIVIA FOR SUPER BONUS POINTS! (podcast) - To give away more free movie passes for this Thursday's drive in movie/Super Bonus Points night, D&D trusted Rudy with a game of movie trivia. EPIC FAIL.
4. BILL DILLON (podcast) - Can you imagine spending 27 years in prison for a crime you didn't commit? D&D talked to a man that DID.
5. ROD ALLEN (podcast) - FSD's Rod Allen called in with his weekly Tiger's report. Rod also told us what he thinks about the trade deadline acquisitions.
6. D-list Week of 8/3/09 (video) - Weekly D&D update video.
